Yesterday I got to work some more, oh how fun it was. Although I was only supposed to have to work 4 hours I got stuck there for 6 because we just had so much work to get caught up on. Fun times. That put me in a cranky mood, so to cheer myself up, and to reward myself for the quitting smoking, and because, well, I'm obsessed with DVDs, I went to Best Buy and bought a ton more crap. I haven't even finished half the stuff I bought last weekend, or even started the graphic novels I bought the other day, but I some how figured I needed to get more. I have a definite spending issue. I went there originally to get some shit that's been on my list for a while but had just never bothered getting, but of course I also had to walk around for an extra hour or so looking for other random shit to spend money on.

I ended up getting That 70's Show: Season 3, That 70's Show: Season 4, Jim Gaffigan: Beyond the Pale, The Girl Next Door, Ray, Family Guy: Volume 3, and Mr. Show: The Complete Series. I had never seen Mr. Show before, but I've heard it was good and I love David Cross, and for $40 for the whole series (while they were somehow selling each of the 4 seasons separately for $30 a piece) I figured I may as well check it out and holy balls am I glad I did. This show is fucking HILARIOUS.

After Best Buy I came home, watched some movies then Tess and I headed down to Lyndas house for a little get together. We ended up going to Wal*Mart to get some food and Lynda wanted to get Lost: Season 1, but decided it was too expensive and passed. She sucks, but I ended up getting Superman, Superman 2, and Look, Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman (a documentary about all things Superman) since they were all on sale for only $5 a piece. Yay for compulsive purchases. Anyway, we got food, went back to her house and watched The Machinist. It was good, but nothing too amazing, it was a tad predictable and rather unoriginal, but it was entertaining enough. Then home, then sleep.

Also, I am building a wall and doing a mass editing of my friends list because either you don't update ever or I just don't read your posts or, well, because maybe I just don't like you and find you annoying, who knows. Also after this entry I am going friends only because there is too many annoying douche bags that I don't know that just added me because we like 1 of the same movies or because they like my tattoos or some stupid bull shit and even though I have requested they leave, they still stay around and make retarded comments.

I know there are 2 of you (Jay and Lyra) that read my LJ that don't have LJs of your own, so this will pose a problem. So suck it up and just make one. You don't have to post your own shit, but if you're going to want to still read this you're going to need one.

So, first off, I must say
CONGRATULATIONS im_a_hot_dancer!!!

Today it has officially been 6 months since I had a cigarette. I have no desire for one at all so I think I finally have quit FOR GOOD. It only had to quit like 7 times for it to finally stick ;)

According to quitmeter.com I have saved $462.69 and have not had 2,501 cigarettes. So yeah, go me.

In work news, I am sooooo sick of working, when I left last night at about 9:30 I had 57 hours and I still get to go in and do another 6 or so today. The money is going to be hella sweet, before taxes I will be getting $670, just for this one week, thing is though with all the time I work I really have no need for so much money since I can't go out and spend it. We hired a bunch of new people and rearranged some departments so SUPPOSEDLY after next week we should be all caught up and not doing 20+ hours of overtime every week. According to the Head Boss Lady though, we don't have that much overtime. In our staff meeting yesterday she says she's sorry to make us work the weekend again but "it's not usually like this, this is the first time we've had mandatory weekend overtime 2 weeks in a row". Um..... 2 weeks in a row? We've been on mandatory weekends for about 9 weeks now. Oh well, hopefully shit gets caught up and I can have a life again.

In other work news, I emailed Andrew (my video Boss) over a week ago about a raise, he still hasn't emailed me back, so I am over that. I really was sick of the weddings anyway, especially for what I was getting paid, and I don't even have time to do them, plus I am making more than enough money at Fiserv, so sucks for him.

Lastly, I did have a semi-life last night. kimmandercool came over for a little bit. We sat on my couch and watched The Simpsons and laughed. To most people that probably sounds boring, but I had a total blast, it's cool to finally meet someone that enjoys just relaxing and watching TV. Kimi is fun times.

As for now I get to go back to work. Woo freaking hoo.

So I just got in a little fender bender. How fucking fun, but lets Tarantino this and go back to the beginning.

So I was enjoying some Justice League while playing some New Super Mario Brothers on my DS and I get an IM from kimmandercool saying she was hungry, eventually we decided to get some sushi, so out we headed. Eat eat eat, yum yum yum. We say goodbye and off we go. As I am backing up I hear a quick beep then a bang. Yay accident. Not much happened, I was going maybe 1mph, I didn't even have my foot on the gas. I think dude was speeding through because I checked and saw no one, but alas, we made contact. Dude was surprisingly cool about everything. His car , he was just glad no one was hurt and his car was still drivable so he could go out and party. Long story short we exchange info, call the cops, the cop gets there and was all "yeah?" and dude was "uh... we got in an accident...", cop was "yep, and?" and dude was "I dunno, I thought we were supposed to call" and cop says "you have choices, you can settle this yourself, or you can file a report and have it all go through insurance", so dude says "well, yeah, lets file a report" and the cop gets all pissy and fills out his shit. Bottom line is I got no ticket, cop was cool about that, he said "It was a small accident, you know to be more careful, and I'm sure you don't really want a ticket on top of fixing your car". I held back a laugh and said thank you. My new car will be here in a few weeks and there is like no damage to my car, so like hell I'm fixing anything.

Anyway, the shit that really gets me is all the shit that goes into the making of an accident, all the minute coincidences that go into. Such as follows:

*I have know Kimi via the myspace for about 2 years I think, we have discussing hanging out before, but nothing ever came of it, well today we finally went and did something. So that got me out of the house to begin with.

*We were going to go to Bonzai, but they were closed for a private party, so we went across the street to Thai Thai, which put me in the accident location

*Our server was shit and took forever to get us anything, and when we went to pay he was no where to be found, so we searched him down to pay so we could leave. We walked to her car, quick hug and good bye, then I walked to my car, started it, backed up and CRASH. Had we waited for our server to come get our money, had we had a faster server, had we said a longer/shorter good bye, it could've been missed.

It is just insane all the tiny little things that go into effect to put you in that one spot for that one moment to cause an accident. It completely amazes me how everything that happens, no matter how small, can have a bigger impact down the line. The universe is amazing.

Work was surprisingly cool for a Saturday and went by pretty qickly. Afterwards hack_me_bitch and I headed to King Street Body Gallery so she could get some ink. Tom seemed pretty cranky, probably due to his website not being done. On one hand I can see where he's coming from, we've been working on it for about 4 months and we told him it'd be done a while ago, but on the other hand we both have jobs and work a ton of hours, and it takes a while to build a nice site, and he doesn't seem to understand we can't devote tons of time to it. Either way he looked pissed and wasn't talking much so it was really awkward there. They finished up, I drove Elyn home and then went to Best Buy.

I finally used my $100 gift card I got from citibank. I was going to get an XBOX 360 but decided against it as there isn't any games I want for it yet, so I decided to buy a bunch of other shit:

After the gift card all that only cost me $76, and that was due mostly to the 2 games. And speaking of which mrfurious, I'm gonna need your friends code so we can play Tetris DS.

12 hours of work after 3 hours of sleep is soooooo fun, let me tell ya. especially since I get to be back in 8 more hours. Enough of that, I now bring you

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest: The [slightly] More In Depth Review

First off, about the experience, it was WAY more crowded than expected. There was 7 midnight showings at the theater, all of which were sold out. The general population there were 12-15 year old girls (and their moms), most of which were dressed as "pirates". I say that in quotes because apparently pirate attire consists of a black and white or black and red striped shirt with a red bandana or scarf around your head, although I don't recall ever seeing a pirate in any film (or other medium for the matter) wear striped shirts or the "biker" bandana, I'll give them the scarf though. There was a few guys dressed up as Jack Sparrow, none of which looked remotely good, but the dumb teeny boppers were all freaking out over them. And of course, in typical teeny bopper fashion everyone was yelling and screaming and squeeing and taking pics (which apparently has become the latest thing, taking pics everywhere, and not just 1 or 2 on a camera phone, I'm talking like 30+ on a digital cam), and I was expecting them to ruin the movie, but once it started everyone was perfectly quiet, even when Orlando was shown missing half his shirt. I was quite proud of them, but once it ended they all were retarded again and I wanted them all dead.

About the actual movie, not really much to say about it, but here's my usual, except this time with no spoilers:

Stuff me likey:
-Everything. For real, the movie was goddamned fantastic. I'll be a tad more specific though:
-Awesome special effects
-Imaginative designs, characters and sets all look amazing
-Movie length: 2.5 hours; Plot length: 2.5 hours. There was NO real filler in this movie, everything was purposeful
-The fight scenes were fucking awesome and choreographed very well. The sword fight towards the end between Elizabeth, Pintel, Ragetti, and Davey's Crew, where they are throwing the swords back and forth, is one of the best and most original fight scenes ever.
-Original enough to not say it wasn't just a rehash of The Curse of The Black Pearl, but similar enough to make us remember why we love ...Black Pearl so much
-Much darker than ...Black Pearl
-Keira Knightly is HOT
-Johnny Depp is also HOT
-Jack Sparrow just fucking rules
-I may as well just cut and paste the script, it was simply fucking great.

Stuff me no likey:
-A few things were rattled off rather quick and I didn't quite catch what was going on, but it was nothing too major
-A few jokes and references to ...Black Pearl seemed a bit forced
-Not as many great one liners from Jack
-Thats really about it, if you can't tell I completely dug the movie.

1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY p0sta1!!

2. Happy late 07/04. Go America and what not.

3. I had a great über relaxing 4 day weekend where I did pretty much nothing but play Dragon Quest VIII. After putting in a whopping total of 76 hours and 24 minutes (about 44 hours or so were done this weekend) I finally completed it about a half hour ago. It was a great fun game, but I am glad it is over. It was starting to get a bit too long/monotonous, I don't mind spending lots of time on game, just so long as most the time isn't spent traveling from one side of the map to the other to pick up some random item I probably won't really ever need. But now it is done and I can focus on other aspects of my life again (ie. watching DVDs).

4. I also watched a few episodes of Justice League: Season Two today, GODDAMN what a fucking awesome show. Batman owns all.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Mans Chest, Thursday night (technically Friday morning) at Midnight at The Oaks if anyone cares to go, consider this your invitation.

6. Back to work tomorrow, so time for sleep.

Just got back from Pink Floyd's The Wall, and let me just say how much more awesome it is on the big screen, I'm so glad I went. The audience wasn't too bad either, but more on that in a second, I've other shit to ramble about.

First off,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY stars_n_scars!!!
Hope you're having a funtastic time on your NYC vacation.

Second, I found 3 great sites with a shit load of free Beastie Boys remixes. All together I got a total of 344 songs. mrfurious, I know you dig those mash ups, and they had quite a few there. All the sites were linked from The Beastie Boys wikipedia page, so go there for the links because I am too lazy to post them. While downloading this mass amount of music I happened to have caught Ray on HBO, and that was a surprisingly great movie. I hate to say it, but Jamie Foxx was amazing, definitely check it out if you get a chance.

As for The Wall, it was fun times. Last time I went to a free midnight movie was like 2 years ago when I saw Pulp Fiction, and that was a horrid experience. It was nothing but stupid emo kids and wanna be punks that all thought they were the coolest because they knew all the words to the movie. People were acting out the movie, reciting the lines, wrestling in the aisles, yelling, screaming, and a few kids even started smoking because "seeing them smoke in the movie made them want a cigarette". I vowed to never go to a free midnight movie again, but this was too good to pass up.

It wasn't all that bad, there was a small group of Hot Topic Punks that laughed during the few sexual scenes and when he goes crazy and smashes up his room, but that was about it really. There was a few people there that were confused and had to ask their friends what was going on, but it was done quietly and not too much of a bother. There was also a lot of kids in Pink Floyd shirts, not so much annoying, just ridiculous. The best was before the movie, when this creepy old semi-professional looking mexican dude and his young ghetto friend were waiting to go in and the ghetto friend was asking about the movie and the mexican guy was telling him what he heard it was about, and was completely wrong. Then they discussed ghetto's red shoes for about 20 minutes and how they are "so cool and bright that they blind me", says the mexican. Later on when we are sitting waiting for the movie to start we see ghetto talking on a cell phone, which would be fine, except that he has a cell phone against one ear and on the other he has one of those lame ear clip phone things, and it was just funny to see him with both. It was funnier there, I swear it. Also some fat douche bag tried to be cool and jump over a chair but ended up falling on his ass, which was hilarious. That was about it, again, during the movie shit was surprisingly quiet and calm, which is awesome, they were all ridiculous looking trendy emo kids, but they were quiet, so all is good.

Come 2:00 the movie is over and we all head home, but I didn't get home until 3 because there was a massive (assumedly) accident on I-95 and we were stopped in traffic for almost an hour. How fun. As for now I desperately need sleep.

So, Superman Returns. Just got back a little while ago and I am sure you are all dying to hear what I thought, so here goes.

First off, thankfully the theater had quite a few showings which left my theater rather empty, as you can see in my last post. Only maybe 20 people showed up, so shit was nice a quiet.

Secondly, I have to say it was too long for the content it had. I don't care if a movie is 2 hours long or 8 hours long, just fill it with enough interesting shit to validate the time it takes up. There was A LOT of stuff that could've been cut, it didn't need to be 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Spoilers get cuts (obviously)

-Kevin Spacey is a God amongst men. He did phenomenal as Lex.
-The overall story was interesting
-Amazing effects
-Lots of destruction
-Great scenes showing off Supes powers/strength
-Using the classic pic of Superman holding the car (originally from his first appearance)
-Bank robbery scene with the gatling gun and Supes getting shot in the eye. FUCKING AWESOME.

-Superman looked too young and emo. He was also too pretty. Yeah, he should be attractive, but more of a rugged handsomeness, he looks more like a model than a super hero. He did look an awful lot like Reeves as Kent though, which is good.
-Lois not witty/smart/sassy enough. I know Lois as a very smart investigative reporter that will stop at nothing to get her story. In this Lois was just kinda of..... I dunno... Bland.
-Too long/too slow at parts
-That kid ended up being Superman's kid, which was dumb enough as it is, but to add to it, it seems they only did that to have a way to save Lois. The whole movie the kid is this weak little kid with asthma and an awful haircut, then Lois is in trouble and no one is around to help, the kid THROWS A PIANO at the bad guy and kills him, then the rest of the movie he goes back to being weak. It seems like they had no other way to save her, so they just threw that shit in.
-At the end, when Supes is in a coma for days and days and days, no one ever once wonders where Clark is. I realize that's kinda part of the comic world, but this shit was a tad ridiculous, "Wow, the city was almost destroyed is everyone ok? What? You haven't seen Clark anywhere? I'm sure he'll show up". Also, Clark leaves for some vacation of sorts, and all of a sudden Superman stops showing up to save people, 5 years go by, then Superman shows up and saves some people and just so happens Clark returns to Metropolis the same day, but NO ONE gets it??
-Nothing really seemed wrapped up at the end. Supes is better, kid is baby Superman, Lois cries, and Lex is on an island. I realize they are leaving it way open for sequels and spinoffs, and yes everything in the story was technically wrapped up, but it just seemed like there was no closure at all, something about the ending just felt very off.
-No fighting. Yes, yes, Superman is a protector of peace, not a violent hero, but he didn't even throw a punch or anything the whole movie.
-The movie jumped around too much/pacing was bad. We have a quick build up of waiting for Supes to return, he does, and all is good, for about 10 minutes, but then the next hour or so is Lois whining about a having to write a Superman article/whining about Superman in general, mixed in with a few scenes of Supes saving random people, Clark acting emo and goofy around Lois, and Lex's plan slowly coming to boil. I get that there is basically 3 stories going on (Superman, Clark/Lois, Lex), and they need to develop them all, but it just jumped between them too randomly.
-Lex stabs Superman with a small shard of kryptonite and he is getting his ass handed to him, he can't even stand. KRYPTONITE BAD. But then, once the shard is removed he has the ability to lift an entire island, about the size of Manhattan, that is predominantly MADE OF KRYPTONITE, without any real problem. Yes you can use the argument that since he was stabbed the kryptonite would affect him more, but we're talking a shard the size of a fork vs an island the size of Manhattan, just didn't make too much sense to me.
-Not enough fill in on the back story. Apparently this was a sequel to Superman II, so I guess III and IV didn't count? I didn't even realize it was an actual sequel until about half way in, I thought they were starting off a whole new line, so I think they should've made it a tad more clear that it did indeed follow a prior movie.

Now, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, I know my list of Dislikes by far outweighs my list of Likes, but that's just because there was more specific things I disliked, while the likes were more of a broad over all thing.

So yeah, it was good, but it just really wasn't all I was expecting. I think it was mostly due to the pacing and casting. Spacey was great as Lex, but everyone else was not so great, especially Lois. I think that just may be because I am used to Superman: The Animated Series. Thats how I know the characters, that's what I am used to, but from the other Superman stuff I've seen and from the tiny amount of Superman comics I've read, that's how they are supposed to be. Had they had a better cast and cut a lot of the filler out it could've been an awesome flick.

But yeah, overall, pretty decent, just a bit sub par. One thing I really hope they change in the next movie is the villain. Spacey was amazing as Lex, but Lex has been done to death, and so has Zod. There's plenty more out there to choose from, so I hope they pick something new.

Not much been going on lately. Just work work work. QLV couldn't handle their shit again last week so our department had to bail them out and I ended up staying until almost 10 on Friday. NO FUN. But when I get home Pink Floyd: The Wall: Live in Berlin was waiting for me, so I kicked back and watched that. What an amazing concert. And what an amazing album, I have gotten hooked on it in the pas few weeks. I must've listened to it like 30 times.

Saturday I sat around playing Dragon Quest VIII all day, then went to a little party at my friends house. It was crazy fun. We watched movies, chatted, listened to music, and drank a whole bunch. A bit too much maybe. One of our friends decided to go off wandering in Palm Bay after his girlfriend left because he "ditched her" (ie. he got off the couch to be sociable), and we got to go find him. I don't remember much though because of the stupid jager, but I had a blast.

Sunday on the other hand, sucked. Too many beers + too much jager = me not feeling too hot. I woke up at 9, which sucked, and tried to play some video games, but my head was pounding. I decided to throw on Justice League: Season Two, but I couldn't even stand looking at the TV, so I just laid back in bed and fell asleep until 2. By then I felt decent enough to play 12 hours of Dragon Quest VII.

That's about it. Today was back to work, which sucked for numerous reasons that I don't feel like getting into, but on the plus side, a certain someone at work is getting his first tattoo and I over heard him talking about it with people, he is getting a "skull with wings" and later went on to say "so I can scare the little kids when I take my shirt off at the beach". SO. FUCKING. COOL.

Oh yeah, and it fucking POURED today. It hasn't rained in a while and I forgot how god awful my car is in the rain. My wipers barely work, and my breaks and tires are shitty as is, get them wet and i may as well have pretty much nothing. Unfortunately hurricane season is upon us so it'll probably be raining almost daily. I can't wait for my new car.

2. I finally got my free $100 Best Buy gift card for signing up for a citibank credit card. I think I am going to put it towards an XBOX 360

3. I also finally got my ADC to VGA converter for my computer, so now I have my TV hooked up as a second monitor and OMG is it sweetness.

4. We had some training on a new program at work the other day. They said they'd get us lunch while we were training. They were going to get us pizza until we all complained that all they ever get us is pizza, so one of my bosses said she's make some good home cooking. I wish we had stuck with the pizza. Ew.

(she said it was country fried steak or something, but I don't think it's supposed to look like that. And yes, those ARE giant pools of grease you see.)

5. Some friends from work and I are going to go see Superman Returns Tuesday night, sometime between 10 and midnight, if anyone would care to go, here is your official invitation.

Ok, so car shopping is done and over with and what fun it was.

We headed out around 10am, first we went to Honda to check out the Fit. They only had one left. Iit was ok, a bit bigger than I pictured it, which was good, but it still looked like a baby minivan. As per usual with car dealers, we get out of the car and have 20 people on us trying to help us out. I could never do that job, fuck that shit.

Anyway, dude goes on to tell me every last little detail about the car, even down to how to check the air in the tires, just rambling away, ramble ramble ramble. We went for a test ride and, yeah it rides nice, especially compared to my car now, but it was nothing spectacular. The guy wouldn't shut up the whole time and was trying to be my buddy, asking about my tattoos and what music I like and all that shit, which got annoying. There is also this weird feature on it, it was an automatic, but you can put it in "sport mode" which essentially turns it into a stick shift, minus the clutch, and you switch gears using buttons on the steering wheel, so he tells me it's good for racing around and shit like that, I say I'm not really into that type of stuff, he ignores me and tells me to try it out, so I do so and don't like it, so I turn it off and he's all "no, you gotta use it, it's a great feature, blah blah blah". It did have a cool feature for iPod that would display song info on the stereo display, which is cool because the iPod screen is a tad tough to read when driving. More driving, then we bring it back and discuss prices and all, price was good, but alas all they had was this really gay blue color, and they didn't know when they'd be getting new ones in and what colors they'd be, and of course we had other cars to check out, so we attempt to leave and they go on about other things and how they have other cars and "lets work out a deal" and the usual. God I hate car shopping. We finally get out and head over to the Dodge dealer to check out the Caliber.

These guys were much better than Honda, much more laid back, not so much jumping all over us. They also only had one on the lot. Aside from the color (sunburst orange) I really liked the look of it. We took it for a test drive and it drives beautifully. It has this new steel belt "Continuously Variable Transaxle" transmission, which basically means no gears, or no shifting of gears, or something like that, I don't quite get it, but it makes it drive much smoother. Somehow it is a big car that feels small AND a small car that feels big, if that makes any sense. It felt very sturdy and powerful, but not bulky and over powerful. It also has an auxiliary input, for easy iPod connection, which is great, plus a special compartment in the arm rest to hold the iPod. It had other.... interesting features, including light up cup holders and the "Chill Zone", which is essentially an air conditioned compartment in the glove box, to store drinks and what not in. The car really impressed me so we went to talk prices and all. The guy was really cool and not at all pushy, not that it mattered as I was ready to buy anyway, but alas it is a very popular car and he said most of them that they have on order are already purchased. They had the orange one that I drove, but I didn't want that exact one as it was missing some features I wanted, and had some I didn't. They had a few coming in within the next few weeks that I could get, but again, they had some shit I didn't want, and were missing some shit I did want. He said that unfortunately the company is not taking any more orders for the 2007, and I would have to wait until the 2008 model came out to get one exactly how I wanted it. FUCK. So we head across the street to Kia.

This place was odd. We get there and walk around for like 10 minutes without anyone saying shit to us, we actually had to look for someone and ask for assistance. The guy we get seems to not give a shit about selling a car. We tell him I am looking for a Spectra5 and he's "yeah, we have like 7, let me show you". My Dad asks him a few questions about things and the guy didn't know any of the answers then just kind of mumbled a few features "mm, well, it got disc breaks.... um.... tinted windows, it's automatic, yep... um.. anything else?". How helpful. We took it for a test drive, wasn't too impressed. Yeah, it was better than mine, but for a new car it was rather loud and a bit unsteady. The car itself didn't really even seem that sturdy, it seems like they kind of just threw it together and would break very easily. It had pretty much no features, and they added $3,000 to the sticker price, making it about $20K. Overall it wasn't awful, but nothing amazing either. We discussed prices anyway and all of a sudden they got excited like "wow, someone is actually going to buy shit??". The guy told us stories of how he has a photographer friend that is a "car guy" that got a Spectra5 "so you KNOW it's good". Huh? Because your friend knows cars and got this one it has to be good? Right. Then later he said he told us how he sold a bunch of the Spectras (not the Spectra5's) to nurses, they didn't want the 5's because it was "a sports car". Um.... no it's not.

Anyway, dude rambled for what seemed like hours, especially since I wasn't even that interested in the car, trying to "relate" to me, talking to me about the internet and ebay and my tattoos. What a douche. We tell them we are not buying right then anyway because we wanted to look at more cars and discuss things and they were "what do we need to do to get you to buy this now?". We basically said "sell it for $100" the laughed and then continued trying. Even said they'd give me $1,000 for my jeep (if you've seen it you know how good a deal that is for me), they tried offering me other cars, even said they would take $5,000 off the price, but we said no no no no no and left.

Stopped right quick at King Street Body Gallery to watch hack_me_bitch get some ink done, then went to lunch and discussed the cars. I had pretty much decided on the Dodge Caliber, one way or another, whether it be having to get the ugly orange one today, or waiting a few weeks and getting the black one with extra shit I didn't really want and missing some stuff I did want. I wasn't too impressed with the Kia Spectra5 really and the Honda Fit wasn't so bad, but the blue was hideous and we didn't know how long it would be for others to arrive. Before any final decisions we decided to check out the dealerships in Melbourne and see what they had there.

We went to Dodge first, all they had was an orange one, and it was stick, so that was no good at all, they had some others coming in in a few weeks, no black ones available, but some there were some other acceptable colors, the guy then said "well you can always just order one how you want it" I say I thought they couldn't be ordered, he says "well, they closed orders on the 06/07's, but the 07/07's are available". Basically just a different production quarter or something, I don't remember his exact wording, but he assured me they COULD be ordered. I already pretty much had decided on this car, even if I had to get it not exactly how I wanted it, so since I COULD get it how I wanted the decision was final.

So we put together the shit I wanted, discussed money, and got my order sent in. I ended up getting a black Dodge Caliber SXT, pretty much just the standard deal, but I added on the MusicGate Power Sound System, which is an additional 5 speakers, including an 8" subwoofer. Total, after all taxes and fees and everything, it came out to be $18,508.16, so yay to being broke again as I am going to be paying this off $350 or so a month for the next 5 years, but at least I now have a nice brand new car that runs and had A/C, or at least I will in about a month when it gets here, waiting is going to suck so much ass. I was really hoping to get a car today, it sucks I have to wait, but at least I am getting the car I want and not just something that was available.

So, I was sitting here watching The Daily Buzz and they have a daily poll on different topics. In honor of Fathers Day this weekend, they had "Best TV Fathers".

So I of course jokingly wrote in:

"Hands down it has to be Michael from Lost. THEY TOOK HIS BOY!! and he ran right after him, and then for like 5/6 of the season he made sure that everyone everywhere knew that THEY TOOK HIS BOY!!!"

Cut to about 30 minutes later, they are reading some responses and they read mine!! Then one of the hosts did his Michael impression and was yelling "They took my son, thats MY SON!", it was awesome.

I have it DVR'd, if I can figure out how to get it on my computer and post it, I will.

Not much been going on really, just work work work, with a little Radiata Stories and Brain Age sprinkled in. Fun times. We lost another person at work, which sucks because we were short as it was. We got a new temp this week and 1 or 2 starting next week, but they all seem to be douches, so that's no fun. I just hop[e they stay because I am not wanting to work 50+ hours every week. Oh well. After work today I headed to Best Buy to pick up Green Street Hooligans, and to get my Dad some CDs for fathers day. First off, they are rearranging the whole store and it felt very weird in there. I've been going there about 8 years with it looking basically the same, but now they are completely changing everything, and somehow it just feels almost uncomfortable in there. I am sure I'll be used to it in no time though.

Anyway, last week my Dad and I went out to dinner and I burned a CD of oldies to listen to and he was talking about how he forgot about half those songs, so at Best Buy I looked around for some "50's classics/Best of the Oldies" type CDs, and they had some amazing deals. I ended up getting him a total of 8 or 9 discs (with about 15-20 songs each disc) for a total of $30. Fucking sweet. I gave them to him today so he would have shit to listen to while working tomorrow and he was ecstatic about them, so that made me happy that he was happy, he is really a wonderful father and I don't let him know that often enough.

In other news, I had previously mentioned me getting a new car soon as mine is about to explode. I wanted an SUV of sorts, but I want something new, and all SUVs are out of my price range, so I decided to look into the 2nd car I want (aside from a Delorean or Batmobile replica, which are also waaaaaaay out of my price range), the Honda Civic Hatchback. Much to my dismay they haven't really been made since about 94 (at least not the one I wanted), but I did find a car I liked a bit, the Honda Fit. Brand new 2007, only about $15,000, which is what I was looking to spend (before all taxes and other fees), so I was all for that one, I showed my Dad, since I know SHIT about cars, he said it was a good car and for all the shit I get in it, it is a great price.

But I of course needed to look around more, so my Dad and I scoured the interweb in search for a good affordable car that I didn't think was hideous. I am such a woman when it comes to cars, all I really care is that it looks nice, has AC, and I can hook up my iPod without much hassle. Well, after much searching we found 2 more I really like AND that I can afford; the Dodge Caliber (2007) and the Kia Spectra5 (2006). All 3 are about the same price and have pretty much all the same shit, and my dad says they are all pretty much the same quality, more or less. So now I need to figure out which one to get. I am leaning mostly towards the Dodge Caliber, with the Kia Specta5 in a close second, based on nothing more than I like how they look. The more and more I look at the Honda Fit the more I find it repulsive. At first I liked it, but compared to the other 2, it looks pretty ugly, plus the interior looks like uncomfortable airline seating, so it is pretty much out of the picture. Of course all this may change once I actually drive one.
